As we near the end of January with snow in the forecast again, we know many of you are looking for ways to keep your toddlers moving during winter. The Family Center/La Familia has compiled this list of local activity centers, both indoor and outdoor, for some seasonal family fun.

INDOOR

Fort Collins Museum of Discovery

The FoCo Museum of Discovery is a hands-on, cultural and science museum for kids of all ages. There is a special play area for young toddlers, with a large lounge area and individual activities, including a water table. 

Open: Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: Children 0-2 FREE; Juniors $9.50; Adults $12.50

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park

This popular trampoline park is also home to activities like climbing walls, Dodgeball, and Go-Karts. Some attractions are height-restricted, but toddlers will love bouncing the day away on Urban Air’s super-sized trampolines. Please note that Urban Air uses a timed-entry schedule during the pandemic, so if you’d like to get in at a certain time, tickets are available for purchase online

Friday 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Saturday 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Sunday 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Foothills Activity Center

The community center has a fitness gym, multi-purpose rooms, and an indoor basketball court, with scheduled programs for all ages. Children under 18 can drop in for $1 during open gym days, and Super Tots programs (pre-registration required) are currently scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday mornings. The Farm at Lee Martinez Park

The Farm at Lee Martinez Park has provided hands-on family fun since 1985. The Farm serves as an educational and interactive experience for Fort Collins residents and visitors. Children can feed and pet animals, ride ponies, and visit the museum and Farm Store.

Open:

Wednesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., weather permitting

Sunday: noon – 4 p.m., weather permitting

Pony Rides Hours:

Saturday: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Sunday: Noon – 3 p.m.

Old Town Square Skate Rink

The Old Town Square Skate Rink is back for another holiday season! Admission and skate rentals are free! No reservations are needed. Please note that hours of operation are subject to change due to weather or any changes in Larimer County or City guidelines.

Northside Aztlan Community Center

Amenities at this facility include workout equipment, classrooms, a running track, lighted skate park, handball courts, a playground, and a large gymnasium. The Tot Gym and Funtime Preschool Programs are open to toddlers. Call 970.221.6256 for rates and to register.

Fort Fun

Outdoor activities include a giant slide, mini golf, batting cages, and go-karts, weather permitting. Laser tag, an arcade, and bumper cars are available for indoor fun. Note that some activities are height-restricted.
